Melbourne Metro Tunnel Walking Tour

Join the Metro Tunnel team on a walking tour of the construction site for the new Parkville Station. This is an exciting opportunity to experience the site where the new station is being built. You’ll learn about the current construction activities including the excavation of the station box which will eventually be up to 32 metres below ground and approximately 270 metres long.

Get a close up look at the temporary deck being installed over the work site to minimise noise and dust impacts while excavation is carried out underneath. The Metro Tunnel will transform the way we travel to and from the suburbs. In Parkville, the new station connects this world-class education, health and research precinct to the rail network for the first time, and includes station entrances on the doorstep of The University of Melbourne and some of Victoria’s biggest hospitals.

This event is presented by the Cross Yarra Partnership and Rail Projects Victoria as part of the Metro Tunnel Creative Program.
