Waterfront: Protecting Urban Waterways
Urban waterways are being squeezed by the urbanisation and developments along creeks and rivers. One tool to help protect our waterways is the Victorian Planning System.
The Yarra Riverkeeper Association commissioned a report from leading urban planner Ethos Urban on how to better protect our urban waterways from inappropriate development, thanks to funding from the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. Join us for a boat cruise and discussion about water advocacy and the tools available.
Presented by Open House Melbourne, Yarra Riverkeeper Association and Liveability Victoria International (Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning) for Waterfront – part of Melbourne Design Week 2020, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
