Waterfront: Wreck or Rectify – Barwon Water HQ Tours

Barwon Water’s Ryrie Street head office in Geelong has undergone a $32 million refurbishment to transform it into a modern, sustainable and highly efficient building. Visitors to Ryrie HQ will have the chance to see its award winning architecture and Geelong’s first large-scale rooftop garden. The office has a 5 Star Green Star design rating from the Green Building Council of Australia for its sustainability features, including a rainwater toilet flushing system, a highly efficient heating and cooling system and a high-performance façade. In addition, a new pedestrian link connects Ryrie Street to the arts precinct, including a café and community hub.

Waterfront is presented by Open House Melbourne as part of Melbourne Design Week—an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV. Wreck or Rectify is co-presented by Barwon Water .
