Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s (MCEC) beginnings lay on the banks of the Yarra River, where the World Congress Centre opened its doors in 1990. Almost 30 years later, MCEC has become Australia’s premier meetings, exhibitions, conferences and events destination. As part of Open House Melbourne 2018 the MCEC looks towards the future and the opening of the centre’s expansion. Join leading architects from Woods Bagot and NH Architecture as they take you on a journey through the expansion spaces and share the creative inspiration behind key spaces including a gala ballroom, open-air courtyard, grand staircase and high-tech exhibition bays. The tour will conclude with light refreshments at Goldfields café and bar.
