The Drill Hall
City of Maribyrnong | M05
Women's Circus took up residence in the Drill Hall in 2006. It has since created over 30 large-scale circus productions with community participants, trained thousands of women in circus and physical theatre though their annual training program, supported hundreds of female circus artists to make new and innovative work, and used social circus to create positive change in the lives of women and their communities. Today the Drill Hall is a place where you will find women literally flying and hanging from the rafters or rolling and tumbling along its old wooden floorboards. Long-time Resident Trainer, Franca Stadler, will share the history of Women's Circus in the Drill Hall and guide you through some circus activities in its training space.
